Uncompahgre peak rises 14,321 feet above sea level in the San Juan Range of the Rocky Mountain in south-west Colorado. The summit affords spectacular vistas of the San Juan Mountains, including numerous peaks summiting above 12,000 13,000 and 14,000 feet. Dispersed between the peaks are beautiful valleys such as the East Fork Valley in this photo to the left.

Sunrise in lower Rustlers Gulch Basin on a summer morning. Bright sunlight shines on unnamed peaks that rise to 12,600 feet, separating West Maroon Pass valley and Rustlers Gulch basin. Rustlers Gulch flows through the basin filled with lush grasses and wildflowers that later in the summer paint the basin floor with vibrant color.

This photograph was taken from the valley below West Maroon Pass at sunset on a late September evening. Bellview Mountain, the pass summit, and the surrounding high elevation ridges and peaks shine in the golden light of the setting sun. The East Fork of the Clear River falls and runs through the lush, shaded valley at 11,000 feet.

Wildflowers cover the floor of West Maroon Pass Valley as sunrise shines golden light on Mount Baldy and peaks of the Elk Mountains. Beauty and serenity overflow from this magnificent setting in the Maroon-Snowmass wilderness below West Maroon Pass

Maroon Peak and North Maroon Peak, known as the Maroon Bells, rise above Maroon Lake and spectacular wildflower filled-valleys in the Maroon-Snowmass Wilderness. Both Maroon Peak (14,156) and North Maroon Peak (14,014) summit above 14,000 feet. Their breath-taking beauty and close proximity to Aspen, Colorado allow them to rank among the most frequently visited mountain scenes in the Rocky Mountains.  The photo to the right captured the Bells and Maroon Lake at sunrise on a glorious summer morning. The All Prints pages that follows include additional photographs of the Maroon Peaks and surrounding peaks and valleys from different vantage points in the Maroon-Snowmass Wilderness.

From the 'backside' of Maroon Bells and Maroon Lake, this scene captures Maroon Peak and surrounding peaks from the summit of West Maroon Pass at 12,500 feet. The setting September sun brilliantly illuminates Maroon Peak and Len Shoemaker Ridge. Bellview Mountain Peak remains touched with sunlight while the mountain ridge casts a shadow to the east. The high alpine valley interspersed between the peaks is home to lush grasses and brilliant wildflowers during the summer.

Peace and serenity, sunrise at 12,000 feet in a high alpine basin below the summit of West Maroon Pass on a glorious summer morning.  Wildflowers and alpine grasses cover the basin floor as sunlight shines brightly on a west-facing unnamed mountain ridge.

The diamond face of Longs Peak (14,259 feet) glows in the light of sunrise on a September morning as Chasm Lake (11,800 feet), reflecting the golden light upon its wind-rippled surface, provides a beautiful foreground to the rugged mountain peak.
